Central Scientific Instruments Organization (CSIO), Chandigarh was established in October, 1959 as a CSIR laboratory. It was initially located at New Delhi and in 1962 it was moved to Chandigarh. CSIO is a national laboratory dedicated to research, design and development of scientific and industrial instruments.
